The Antigua and Barbuda Nurses Association (ABNA) is hosting the Caribbean Nurses Organization (CNO) 60th Anniversary Celebration and Leadership Summit which began today and continues through to December 1, at the Jolly Beach Resort and Spa, here in Antigua and Barbuda.
The CNO was founded on 17th May 1957 as a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan, regional Professional Nursing Organization on the island of Antigua and Barbuda, by Mrs. Mavis Harney the then Matron of the former Holberton Hospital, who now resides in Barbados.   The Celebration of CNO has since been moved to 26th October on the birthday of Mavis Harney which has been declared as CNO Day in recognition of her stalwart contribution to the Organization.
