Serena’s Husband Wrote A Heart Felt Message to Her After She Lost Wimbledon

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian cheered her on from the stands and via social media as she made her incredible run to the Wimbledon final – her first final since almost dying after giving birth to her daughter 10 months ago.
She lost to Angelique Kerber on Saturday, but Ohanian is still so proud. As he tweeted on Tuesday, “Walking to the mailbox was a painful, exhausting challenge for this woman just 9 months ago. This is already nothing short of remarkable.”
Ohanian wrote a beautifully heartfelt message to Williams on Instagram after her loss. He let everyone know that she’ll be holding another trophy soon – and that her entire family knows she’ll win many more.
He wrote:
Days after our baby girl was born, I kissed my wife goodbye before surgery and neither of us knew if she would be coming back.
We just wanted her to survive-10 months later, she’s in the #Wimbledon final.
@serenawilliams will be holding a trophy again soon-she’s got the greatest one waiting at home for her -and our family knows she’ll win many more trophies, too.
